Client: Copenhagen Zoo, Established in 1859, is home to a diverse range of animal species and is dedicated to wildlife conservation and education.
Goal: The redesign concept for Copenhagen Zoo aims to reflect change and a forward-thinking identity while establishing a unique, cohesive brand experience. The project seeks to transform each zoo visit into a global adventure that combines the thrill of travel with wildlife education, creating lasting and memorable experiences for visitors, specifically aimed at families with young children.
Approach: Central to the redesign is the introduction of a ‘passport’ issued to each visitor at the entrance. This innovative element initiates a stamp collection activity throughout the zoo. To collect stamps, visitors engage in interactive educational activities and games related to each animal, enhancing learning through hands-on experience. Completing the collection rewards individuals with a prize, thereby fostering an engaging and educational environment.
Result: The conceptual redesign effectively merges excitement with education, encouraging deeper exploration and understanding of wildlife. It aims to create a distinctive brand identity for Copenhagen Zoo, enhancing visitor engagement and satisfaction through a wealth of new knowledge.
